One of the problems I have with poker is my inability to play enough hands to overcome the dreaded variance involved with the game. It is not that I cannot physically log long sessions it is simply I do not have enough time in the day to play a couple of thousand hands on an evening, especially as I have a young family around me.
When I play poker online, I usually only play a maximum of four tables, which means I fit in around 250-300 hands per hour. Over the course of a week I am lucky to play 1,200 hands and this is simply not good enough. As I cannot find any extra time I am going to have to make more use of the minutes I have spare and that means learning to mass multi-table.
Over the coming weeks I am going to attempt to teach myself how to play a minimum of 12 tables at once, which should see me play around 800 hands per hour which in turn will see me playing close to 3,000 per week with my current schedule. Hopefully this will then lead to me moving back up the stakes much more quickly and earn more bonuses and VIP points as I do so. Stay tuned for reports on how the experiment is progressing.
