It appears that making the switch over from Pot Limit Omaha cash games to Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs) has pleased the Poker Gods as they are allowing me to run hotter than the sun, possibly hotter than I have ever run before. A by-product on running well is your confidence grows and as your confidence grows you play better poker, which in turn makes the run good even better!

Family commitments got in the way of a Friday session but on Saturday night I sat down and played 17 tournaments in total and I didn’t reach the money places in 16 of those but in my final tournament, where I needed to finish fourth to breakeven for the night, I was still going strong. So strong in fact that I went all the way and took it down! Yes, my second MTT win in less than 50 games!

Last night was a little more frustrating as I min-cashed in 13th place in one tournament before busting sixth in another for a massive $0.44 profit but it is better than a loss I suppose! If this run continues I will be starting to add higher buy-in tournaments into my schedule because at the moment I am playing pretty low, but I want to play with a large bankroll to take the sting out of the inevitable losing spells I will face.  I have always played better with a deep bankroll as it allows me to soak up losing streaks and they then do not have as much of an effect on me.

Tonight I am aiming for at least 10-15 tournaments and whilst i do not want to tempt fate and anger the Poker Gods, another win would be pretty amazing!
