Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has reiterated he is not interested in Sergio Aguero of Atletico Madrid – and insists he would not swap two-goal Champions League hero Didier Drogba for any other striker in world football (Chelsea 9/2 behind 7/2 favourites Barcelona outright betting).
Ivory Coast international Drogba returned from suspension following his confrontation with Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo after last season’s semi-final against Barcelona with a bang to twice bring Chelsea level and earn the west Londoners a 2-2 draw in Spain.
Ancelotti revealed this week he was not in the running to sign talented Argentina international Aguero and backed it up by revealing he had no intention of offloading the former Marseille man (5/1 First Goalscorer v Man United).
“I don’t know (if he is the best). For sure, I want to keep him. I don’t want to change him with any other striker,” said Ancelotti.
“Didier is an important player for us. We have a lot of important players but he is doing very well and we are happy.
“I’m very happy with his behaviour, and I hope he continues like this.”
